X2 and X4 for SSJ2/SSJ3 has been the holy grail for DBZ for as long as I can remember, hopefully that didn't change in DBS' narrative. I felt that X2 is a bit too low for SSJ2 but X4 works fine for SSJ3. It's enough to overcome the gap between SSJ3 Goku > Kid Buu > Fat Buu > Evil Buu > Good Buu...

I subscribe to the idea that Future Trunks did some kind of training at least. This is coming off decades of the Androids wrecking everyone up so it makes sense for him to be cautious about future threats. I'd say he's around CG Goku level, if not even early-Buu Arc Gohan.
