Not in later arcs, but the initial ones like Pilaf's, and specially Roshi's training to the 21st Budokai... it was light-hearted, kinda, many gags, and simple in the plot but at the same time captivating. I just liked the characters and wanted to see them faring off against another well worked...

True, but it seemed from Vegeta gazing at mountains that the training to achieve the further states would be more spiritual and only focused in seeing beyond, hence it's somewhat doubtful the increase until then would be significant.

What do you guys make of SSJG3 Goku in early RoSaT being above initial Semi Cell? Sure the grade 3's multiplier wouldn't be so above SSJ2's.
