or go back to that era…please.

I made a thread before.
Those were the days. The DragonBall anime then was better too than when they brought in the people to do 23rd Tenkaichi-Budokai on-wards. when-ever I watch the olden days again, I get very nostalgiac & want to the see the old crew again.

Never forget Yamcha was the first one to discover Oozaru’s weak-ness.

When Bulma saw Kuririn (after vs Piccolo Jr.) & Goku helping him up & kind-of cried, in like a “look at their bond” or “look at them all-grown-up” or when Kame-sen’nin reminisced-back to the days when he first met Kuririn (& his failed jump l0l) & then saw how far he’s gotten since after the fight vs Piccolo Jr.

I feel like it's too late now. Puar and Oolong have been out of the story for so long they would barely fit in now. Yamcha and Bulma being close again would be odd given the current dynamic.

But I do agree that the vibe was better back then.

How about they say screw it then & go back to the gaps in the original story that weren’t 10-year time-gap then? Like maybe 3-years bet-ween Red-Ribbon-Army & 22nd Tenkaichi-Budokai?

But maybe the stories can also be slightly different now, like go back to comedy vibes of first saga.

Like when Tao-Pai-Pai slashed Ten-Shin-Han & Yamucha was like “I’m going to help” or some-thing. They were true friends. The group I mean.

Or when Lunch was going to Tsuru-sen’nin after they were interfering in the fight between Goku or Kuririn & Ten-Shin-Han or Chaozu.

Or when Tenshinhan broke Yamcha's leg. Heartwarming moment.

But yeah that is part of the issue with the powers getting so out of hand. I'd be all for limiting the top end powers to allow those guys to stay relevant. Imagine a human or Piccolo actually overtaking Goku for a period. I guess Piccolo did briefly in the android arc but it was pointless.

The healthy competition between the group seemed to add to their comradery.

l0l but seriously yamcha forgiving him was a kewl moment. he didn’t hold a grudge like that one person in filler seemingly did. he was like it’s water-under-the-bridge.

Yeah, not only that but the fact that the group were really tight-knit. They were a really close group of friends for some reason this seemed lost later-on, no matter how many parties or BBQs Bulma throws in DB-Super with the rest of the crew it doesn’t feel the same any-more.

The parties feel more like corporate events than a celebration with friends.

That’s right. She IIRC doesn’t even seem to inter-act with most of them. It’s like just a convenient excuse to get every-one together for a new threat to appear so that every-one can get defeated by them.

I could maybe see Yamcha as the clumsy espionage guy, like Piccolo in Super Hero. Perhaps Zeno would be intrigued by Puar, being entertained by his shape-shifting; could make it a competition between him and Oolong. Though this may be considered bittersweet tidbits at best to someone that's jaded from the direction DB took after the original.

Zen-ō can stay where the Pfeffer wächst. Only the original crew’d be kewl. Could even be more along the lines of the first saga (Journey to the West). I just would like to see the old friends back-together. Not Gohan. Not Vegeta. Not Piccolo. Maybe not even Ten-Shin-Han & Chaozu.

I also miss young Goku. Adult Goku (especially DB-Super) does not have the charm of young Goku. He kind-of stopped that once he became an adult. Young Goku’s dynamic with old friends was really kewl & fun, don’t you think? It’s not the same any-more in any-way. The story or the atmosphere.

We saw all of the old gang (Gokuu, Kurilin, Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Roushi, even Jiaozi) fight in the Moro arc. I guess we were just missing Yajirobeh? Who cares lol
