If Vegeta needs a heavily amped Galick Gun to destroy the Earth then I'd say no unless it is a planet with much less mass than Earth.

I doubt it. I don't believe Kappa has enough destructive power to destroy a planet. That's Nappa's strongest technique.

If he turned Oozaru, a simple mouth beam should be >> Gyarikku Ho, though.

I was just thinking of normal Nappa. Oozaru Nappa would change my opinion.

Do you guys think 18k+ is the bare minimum?

More like ~24k since the Gyarikku Ho was an amplified attack equal to Kaioken x3 Galu, at least if we're treating a planet of Earth's mass as the subject of discussion. 18k's probably enough to destroy smaller Planets, especially if including anime filler like Arlia's destruction or King Vegeta planet busting.

Vegeta and Goku had sustained damage though, I doubt that the blasts would actually be 24k.

Maybe Goku lost some power due to Kaioken, but i doubt Vegeta lost. A really bad beatdown is necessary to take your power down.

I'd say Vegeta would have only been able to destroy the earth via chain reaction, not outright obliterate it in an instant like what Piccolo did to the moon.

Going by that there is no way Nappa can ''destroy'' the Earth. Maybe overtime with his blast it could, though even then I'd say it'll just have a similar effect as the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs.

Vegeta took multiple huge hits from someone at 24,000, I'd have to think that had some effect.

Yeah, unless he was soo mad he wasn't thinking straight it's unlikely he was going to instantly wipe out the earth and kill himself.

It's never implied he got weaker though.

Nope. A fourth of a planet with his most powerful blast. If my memory serves me right, Goku block it with an uncharged Kamehameha, so its multiplier is rather low. He is going to have to destroy a planet over time.

He wasn't implied to have lost any power after taking a 4x Kaioken Kamehameha, plus the fact he took it at all speaks volumes to his durability and stamina. Goku was also able to use Kaioken x4 and both use Kaioken and take hits from Oozaru Vegeta afterwards, so I doubt his short use of Kaioken x3 had much effect on his power.

Kaio said that Vegeta would probably be more than enough to handle the weakened Goku without going Oozaru. He also said that he hoped Vegeta was weakened from the beating he took so they could possibly end him with a Genki-Dama.

The only time we know he definitely dropped in power was when he created that fake moon.

An interesting counter, however, would be Piccolo vs Freeza. Piccolo apparently did noticeable damage to Freeza in their short clash, at least enough for Vegeta to note it after the fact. Could it not be possible that Goku's heavy hits while Kaioken x3 did some damage?

There's a big difference in experience though. Goku and Vegeta have been shown to go through extensive battles and not lose Ki very quickly. Meanwhile, Freeza hasn't trained at all and, whilst having exceptional survival durability, is never implied to be a top tier in fighting stamina.

Kaio: “But Son Goku has no strength left. Even without Oozaru, the Saiyan may be more than enough for him. But he’s gotten weaker too! The way he is now, if we could only hit him with the Genki-Dama, we’ll win for sure!!!!”

So Vegeta did get weaker after all of that.

That's when he was looking for the real moon, right? Yeah, I figured he did get weaker though.. You can see it after Kaioken x3 Goku punched him in the gut. He is physically winded and injured.
