As pictured above, did Chun increase his effort to circle behind Kuririn and knock him out in the 21st Budokai?

I think Kurirn could have been at a loss of Shouki since even Roshi stated he became too desperate. Or he just hit a weak point, whichever it is.

Since Early DB gaps are already hard to fit in the numbers, i prefer to believe Roshi knocked out Krillin by hitting a soft spot.

I don't think he necessarily increased his effort. Kuririn said Jackie Chun was overwhelming superior in terms of ability and that he wouldn't accomplish much in a hand to hand combat, leading him to use a strategy (the pants trick). When that failed, Kuririn hadn't any left but a hand to hand combat and by becoming desperate he turned into an even easier target to Jackie Chun.

Yea I never really understood that. He was fighting evenly with Jackie, yet aware of how he had no chance. I think Yamcha says something that made me think he may have been a bit faster than before though...

Great topic. This needs to be discussed more.

I think once Krillen caught up with Jackie' speed, he realized that Jackie had a whole lot more in the tank than he was showing. Jackie admits as much as decides the match is over.

I think the Jackie that finishes Krillen is significantly superior to the Jackie who was fighting evenly with Krillen just moments before.
