Did King Cold love Freeza as a son?

We know Vegeta and his father did not have a good relationship leading to Vegeta becoming a borderline-psychotic little manlet who was angry at the world but what about Freeza and King Cold?

I know it's suggested King Cold would hit him but judging by Freeza's status in the Northern Galaxy and his general attitude, he was obviously spoiled and if we include the Cooler movies he was the favorite child despite being weaker. Freeza even got his father involved with invading Earth looking for Goku.

Do you think there was love between them?

Admittedly my opinion's been influenced by fanfiction, but no. He respects Frieza as his most powerful weapon, but that's all. Considering he couldn't actually transform in canon no matter what fanfiction says, the Super Saiyan was a threat to his power and he wanted it gone.

I don't think Freeza's race has a concept of love.... Just procreation and looking after family. The Cooler movie kinda shows this too as Cooler hated Freeza but was still willing to avenge him.

In the Spanish dub, Frieza said "papa" in a babyish way. This always made me think they actually loved eachother.
