Did Vegeta let himself be grabbed by Kim Jong Un?

It seems pretty stupid to me that Kim was able to grab Vegeta's arms. He was steadily losing power from Vegeta's beating, so how did his speed manage to take Vegeta by surprise? PIS

Vegeta didn't seem to care when it did happen. He also knew about the absorption and made no effort to avoid Rocket Man's hands. I'd bet he was some way complacent and was ready for it to happen at some point in the fight, even if he didn't expect it at that very moment.

At first it seems like he was doing it to boast his strength, and show that even with that he could still stomp the Androids. However when he has to trick 20 into leaving due to being too weak, it makes it seem like it wasn't intentional. Very odd writing.

But why? That serves absolutely no purpose. Piccolo was even acting like he was a genius for doing so.

The only thing I can imagine he needed to know was the rate at which they could absorb, but that doesn't seem like necesary info.

Well they don't know how to get rid of that absorption technique and Vegeta had to show them how its done by pulling the Androids hands off their arms which Piccolo did later against Android #20.

- Vegeta says: "So you really do drain energy through the palms of your hands..." Which seems to imply that Vegeta wanted to be grabbed to test #19's ability.

So yes, Vegeta did let himself be grabbed by Kim Jong Un.

Seems pretty foolish on his end. He pretty well cost them the battle, as he had to allow Gero to get away.

Nevertheless, Vegeta's decapitation of #19 is one of the finer moments of the series. Oddly comedic.
