Did Yamcha get stronger @ Baba's Tournament?

In the 21st Budokai, Yamcha got blown out of the ring by a wave of Jackie Chun's hand. Later, at Uranai Baba's tournament, when he's fighting Mummy-kun, who is stated to be stronger than 21st Budokai Goku (and by extension, 21st Budokai Chun) Yamcha is still able to stand after a few of his hits.

Did Yamcha get stronger? Or was Mummy just fooling around?

Well it's entirely possible based on his feats, though I'm eskeptical about it due to the lack of statements.

Yamcha didn't get any stronger. This is just one of those moments where taking hits doesn't mean much of anything.

Good catch! It just feels a little strange to me Roshi would consider Muumy as being potentially stronger than 21st Budokai Goku only by his 'not so impressive' feats against Yamcha [unless wasn't just it].

Tenshinhan knew Roshi was a beast simply from watching him fool around with Manwolf so I guess similar logic, or AT just fucked up.
