Does the Kamiccolo boost have to be 2x?

No but why would you not have it 2x? Pre merger he has to be well above SSJ sick Goku. Thus can't be wayy behind Vegeta. Its also pretty much suggested he can take out both #19 post and #20 pre together there by himself.

Also Namek Piccolo pre Nail should be above Gohan vs 1st form Freeza (he's coming to rescue Gohan), yet as Kamiccolo Nail says he'd beat 1st form Freeza? So how is the boost judging just from that not somewhere around 2x?

After sick Goku is defeated Krillin suggests they run away and Piccolo stood tall. This is before Vegeta revealed SSJ.

Well considering his manhandling of Gero post he probably 2 shots Gero pre.

So u think Gohan non raged vs 1st form Freeza is > Piccolo?

The context is quite different though. On the Cell Games Gohan was about to be killed by Cell, whereas on Namek the fight hadn't even started yet and he acts like he's gonna be their savior and doesn't notice how outclassed he is until Nail tells him so.

The Gohan and Piccolo chain on Namek goes like this.

Gohan post Freeza zenkai raged > Piccolo post Nail merger > Gohan pre Freeza zenkai raged > Gohan post Freeza zenkai > Piccolo pre Nail merger > Gohan pre Freeza zenkai.

Like the Saiyan saga we are still at the point where Piccolo is stronger than regular Gohan but below raged Gohan.

No but it fits so well with the plot and implications that it makes it hard to use a larger multiplier. Piccolo is confident with his newfound power after training on Kaio planet so he has to be equal to, if not stronger than Gohan and Kuririn which fits with the 265+k figure you get when Nail says that he "might" have been able to defeat Freeza if he was "whole".

Piccolo is a step below the Super Saiyans going by the statements but isn't fodder to them so at least 75-80% of SSJ Vegeta. #18 seems to have about the same gap over Vegeta that Reacom had over him and #17, while stronger than his sister isn't really by a stomp amount.

Well, I never found the 2x boost implication to be something so set in stone, personally. I do use it, but how do you guys would (whoever support it) explain Saichoro stating Piccolo might not have had to die if he had come back together as one?

Gohan and Krillin had just suppressed their power prior to summoning Porunga. Whatever Piccolo was sensing from them probably wasn't anything impressive. Probably just their relaxed levels.

Goku arrived a second after Piccolo died. Had Piccolo been twice stronger this would be a game changer against Nappa and he might have lasted long enough.
