Pan TanjÅ￾! Soshite GokÅ« wa ShugyÅ￾ no Tabi e!?
Pan is Born! And Goku Goes Off on a Training Journey?!</big>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:
<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">It’s been more than half a year since Vegeta left to train with Whis. Gohan and Videl’s daughter Pan has been born, and Mister Satan comes over to play with her, making plenty of silly faces to keep her entertained. Gohan returns home from work and transforms into his “Great Saiyamanâ€￾ costume, likewise putting on a show to entertain Pan. He promises to defeat the evil Satan who is trying to “steal her heartâ€￾, and he and Mister Satan playfully spar, tossing Pan around as they do. Just then Chi Chi comes over, and is horrified to see the rough and tumble way they handle Pan. Though Gohan assures his mother that Pan, being part Saiyan, should be more than fine with a little roughhousing, Chi Chi is adamant that they raise her as a gentle girly-girl, so that she won’t end up as another “battle-loving idiotâ€￾. Mister Satan protests that he dreams of raising Pan to be a great martial artist who can serve as his successor and have over a hundred disciples, but Chi Chi still won’t budge.

Driving in the city, Bulma is stopped at a light when some robbers zip by, pursued by a police officer. The robbers scratch Bulma’s car as they pass, so she takes off after them, and thanks to her and the policeman the robbers are soon caught. In fact, the police officer is none other than Kuririn! Although he’s thankful for Bulma’s help, he still gives her a ticket for speeding. Just then his phone rings (playing the song “We Areâ€￾ from One Piece). He and Bulma are summoned over to Gohan’s house to try and help deal with the situation, with Goku and Goten showing up at the same time too. Bulma promises to help calm Chi Chi down if Kuririn gets rid of her ticket. She assures Chi Chi that she should look on the bright side: Gohan has successfully become a scholar, and even Goku is working now…as opposed to Vegeta, who’s been off training with Whis for half a year without coming back home. When Goku overhears this, he freaks out. Wanting to train with Whis too, he asks Bulma to tell him when he’ll stop by next. However, Chi Chi is opposed to Goku going off to train. Kuririn whispers to Goku that he should just search for Vegeta’s ki and teleport after him. Sadly, Goku can’t sense Vegeta’s ki at all…he must be too far away.

Desperate, Goku starts following Bulma around badgering her about Whis: at home, at work, even when coming out of the shower! Finally, Bulma gives Goku a cellphone and promises to call him the next time Whis turns up. Chi Chi oversees this, so Goku covers by telling her that he and Bulma are planning a surprise party for Pan and need to keep in touch. Chi Chi is thrilled that Goku is finally acting as a good grandfather. Goku now spends his time sitting around waiting for his phone to ring, and Gohan starts to wonder what’s up. When Chi Chi happily assures him that he’ll “find out soon enoughâ€￾, Gohan just becomes even more suspicious. Following his father around, he’s hiding nearby when Goku finally gets the call that Whis has arrived on Earth. Goku changes into his dougi and blasts off, arriving in front of Bulma and Whis as they’re heading off to eat. Seeing this, Gohan’s suspicions are confirmed. Goku begs Whis to train him, and Whis agrees, but says Goku must wait until he’s finished eating with Bulma. Whis and Bulma sit down to eat, but Goku constantly interrupts asking if they’re done yet, making Whis increasing annoyed. After the meal, he sternly tells Goku that such impatience might be a problem when it comes to his training.

Before Goku can leave with Whis though, Chi Chi arrives, having been tipped off by Gohan (who meekly apologizes to his father). Goku says he’ll just be gone for a little bit, but Chi Chi isn’t buying it; she’s heard that line once too many. Gohan argues that Goku needs to train and grow stronger in order to protect the Earth, but Chi Chi maintains that Goku needs to be a good grandfather for Pan. Bored with all this, Whis starts to leave, and Goku runs after him, grabbing onto him just before he rockets off into space. Surprisingly, once Goku’s gone Chi Chi is not so mad, finally seeming to accept the situation. She does wonder about that surprise party for Pan, but Bulma assures her that she’ll throw a big flashy one. It’ll be another bingo tournament; no dragon balls this time, but still lots of great prizes. Looking up into the sky, Gohan wishes his dad good luck with his training.</div>

My Thoughts:

-Liked that brief bonding Pan had with Gohan and Mr. Satan.
-The art/animation is once again actually good this time. It looks like old-school DBZ... seems Super finally found it's footing in the animation department
-Chi-Chi..... Toei, please fire Yoshifumi Fukushima. It's like he's trying to make the viewers hate her as much as possible.
-Liked that in-joke with Krillin having the first opening theme for One Piece "We Are" (instrument).

Okay episode, overall. Nothing too special.

Saw the episode subbed right now. Loved it

When goku heard about vegeta training and busted through the wall oh my god that was hilarious

The bonding with hercule gohan and pan was really nice.

Goku taking work seriously was also good to see.

Krillin ticketing bulma though... I like to think krillin is chill enough guy to not do that.

Goku being impatient at first bugged me but it is kind of understandable. It's been more than half a year and nobody told him wtf?

Chi chi needs to cool it

Anyway, 9/10 episode

THAT PREVIEW FOR NEXT WEEK THOUGH. I'm SO hyped for that. This is the stuff I've been waiting for. Seeing vegeta surpass goku again by a good amount. Seeing them train with whis for a while. Seeing Champa. Seeing everything between BOG and RF. Awesome!

Vegeta having a six month lead on Goku finally gives a little explenation as to why he caught up without using the God ritual.

So for goku to get as strong as he is he needed to absorb ssjg. Whis made vegeta surpass that...that's some really good training

Doesn't explain vegeta getting ssjb though. I'm excited to see how he becomes a god or maybe he already became a God? If not then it's going to be pretty confusing. Base vegeta who is equal to post God goku becomes a ssjg and is not much stronger... Wtf

Yeah, its not perfect man. I just think it helps...a little. Remember what Freeza did in six months with no explenation at all.
