My Thoughts:

Whoa, the first episode I liked from Super in a long time (and probably the first one I actually liked from Yoshifumi Fukushima)... though the bit where they make-up Beerus' bed went on much longer than it should have (worth it just to Goku's tropes get turned on it's head and watching him get smacked around) and the art/animation was pretty bleh like others mentioned.

I do wish they don't just rush through the training with Whis... it'd make it totally pointless. At least the BoG arc expanded on things....

The whole gap they're setting up between Goku/Vegeta and Beerus seems a bit strange, unless Whis was purely speaking of their base power.

I wish Champa and Vados had more screen time here, though it's good to finally hear their seiyuus. I'm surprised at the choice for Champa, since I'm more used to seeing Iwata voice flamboyant characters such as Ivankov or Sunny, though Yamaguchi is a great addition to have as a seiyuu.

I can live with the battle power ranking but I can't really live with how underwhelming it was in terms of story. I was hoping Vegeta passing up Goku without the god ritual would actually be difficult :O for him.

I guess t0sh's theory about their potential being maxed out looks pretty silly now, incidentally.

I imagine Whis' training is capable of giving people Godly qualities, since he also said Vegeta was close to sensing God Ki. It's still more acceptable than Freeza's gains, especially when Enraged Vegeta was capable of making Beerus use 10%, whilst SSJ God Goku's only 6x that.

Turning Ssjgssj without turning SSJG seems a bit contradictory to me, albeit I'll admit it's more in Vegeta's nature to attempt to reach God tier without relying on a cheap hand-holding ritual due to his pride. <del>I also guess changing the name to Super Saiyan Blue robbed it of most of its godly aspects as well</del>

I'm not still not watching Super, but I will comment on how the novelty of godly ki and reaching Beerus-rivaling levels have dwindled to a small fraction of the hype it once carried. Creating a guy who's essentially a Super Saiyan God without the time limit from having Whis train him makes BOG seem pretty pointless at this point.

My questions are:

  Vegeta will have become transformed SSJG or SSJGSSJ directly, skipping the SSJG?

  We know that the SSJG is obtained with a ritual of 5 Saiyajins illuminating a Saiyan, then as SSJGSSJ get?

Now out of Goku & Vegeta & Freeza, Goku is the only one who didn't work for his power, and got it handed to him.
