This is series-wide, even including Super if you somehow like the animation. What is your favourite time period of animation? I really enjoyed the Boo arc's animation. Getting more specific, my favourite would have to be the filler episode of SSJ2 Goku vs Pure Boo.

Easily Saiyan Saga - Early Namek Saga. Goku looked his kewlest then too. In the Android Saga for some reason he started looking older (and even older in the Boo Saga), even-though that was probably just a slight change in art-style.

I think he starts looking older because his features become more defined with the improved animation. I did like the look of Namek Goku, though.

He did look younger.

I would have picked the older stuff if the animation was consistent. Stuff like:

makes it hard for me to vote for it.

And I'd say the more angular looking style also made him look older, maybe IIRC. It's weird but Boo Saga Gohan, especially in his ultimate state looks older than Saiyan-Saga Goku.

23rd-Saiyan arc and Boo arc. Freeza-Cell, GT and Super can eat shit.

Yeah I agree. I think everything looks much sharper and more accurate in the Boo arc.

As a whole, the later episodes of the Cell Arc (Gohan achieving SS2 and onwards) and the Boo Arc as a whole.

For notable episodes with good animation, Goku VS Vegeta during the Saiyan Arc, Trunks going SSJ and killing Freeza, Trunks' power up into 3rd Grade and initial fight with Cell, Gohan going SS2 and Goku going SS3 to fight Fat Boo all come to mind.

The M8 has a great animation compare to M7, don't you think?

All the Movies from 5 and onwards have pretty good animation for the most part, apart from a few distant shots in Movie 6. I'd probably agree though.

What makes the movies before 5 less good? They were also well animated.

Honestly GT. The character designs were top notch
The plot was bottom notch. Db's animation improved and improved as the series went on. Parts of the Buu saga and m12 are just eye candy.

Actually, forgot about Movie 4. That had great art/animation too. The first 3 were good, but the art was nowhere near as detailed as in later installments.

The animation was too inconsistent because they constantly had different artists working on the series.

I really like the more "blocky" type of animation for faces (I'll give an example) and to me, that's probably my actual favorite.
