Freeza's training seemed to be tied to ki control more than anything, considering he practiced by torturing Tagoma without killing him. Then again, he failed to kill Piccolo, so maybe he should have skyrocketed in strength after shooting Piccolo

Goku still wins. If forcing back KKx20 Goku's Kamehameha and Genkidama wasn't enough for Frieza to grow stronger, a mere push-up isn't cutting it.
