In the first round of the fight, both Freeza and Piccolo are shown grappling and trading some blows, but near the end, Piccolo bounces back a ki blast, and Freeza even shows surprise (H-he b-bounced it back!) at the feat. In the outcome of the first round, Freeza is shown with several scratch marks around his body, whereas Piccolo looks just fine. However, Freeza still managed to counter some hits and he did relatively well, so a 90/100 difference is pretty good for this fight:

However, once Freeza silently power-ups, he manages to smash Piccolo around and overpower him with ease. Piccolo manages to dodge one or two attacks, however, Freeza still proves to be fast and hard to react to once he ascends to his full power in his 2nd Form. After such a beating, Piccolo is shown to be extremely scathed. This probably warrants a 75/100 or so difference between Weighted Piccolo vs. FP 2nd Form Freeza - and it fits nicely.

2nd Form Freeza(1st Power Up) - 1.375.000
Weighted Piccolo - 1.500.000
2nd Form Freeza(FP) - 1.850.000
Unweighted Piccolo - 1.850.000(since Piccolo believes he can defeat Freeza after he takes out his weights)

I now stand by those gaps.

Piccolo whilst damaged and Freeza definitely did have the advantage, seemed to be rather well-off after the attack. I don't want to say he shrugged-off the attack, but he kind-of did. You could say he had the durability of his un-weighted power, but still... :idk :idk :idk

I'd say 84 or 85%. Maybe 86%.

As for Piccolo and Freeza being equal, I'd say Piccolo was probably clearly ahead of him or else why was he so confident to win?

"Probably clearly?" :CC
Piccolo and 2nd Form Freeza never fought after he took off his weights, so it's really hard to tell. He was confident, yes, but he had regeneration and he was also a better fighter.

Yeah, probably but I'm not 100% sure. :idk :idk :idk

Piccolo sensed 2nd Form Freeza and nonchantally implied he was going to win, so...

They never fight after piccolo takes off his weights because as soon as furiza realized piccolo could still get more powerful than he was in their first exchange he transforms.

That implies that furiza at least expects un-weighted piccolo to decently stronger than his 100% form 2 power.

Or because Freeza didn't wank to take any chances with an opponent who was just as strong and even more skilled as he was.

If Piccolo thought he could outrun 3rd Form Freeza, despite acknowledging the power difference, I doubt he's going to end up weaker than or equal to 100% 2nd Form Freeza.

A 90% gap seems too much for their first scuffle imo. They were pretty even, with Piccolo getting the last word. Kuririn even though they were equal. Yeah, Vegeta corrected him, but it doesn't change the point.

90% is more like Vegeta vs handsome Zarbon, in which the weaker opponent cannot even touch the stronger one.

I'm not even that much of a gaps guy to begin with, just experimenting because it's fun to work with them.
Overall, my opinion on gaps is equal to most people, i just oppose to bullshit like "Nappa can fight someone 2x stronger than him"
