Goku's lifespan

Since Elder Kaioshin has only a thousand years left and given his life to Goku, does that mean that Goku has a lifespan of a thousand?

Doubt it. Saiyans are only young til 80 which means Galu should be an old ass man like Paragus by 90.

I think it said they're still young at 80, not that they suddenly get old after that.

According to SEG they live as much as humans and age faster in a certain age.

Saiyans are a warrior race, so their aging slows once they reach an age suitable for fighting, and they maintain great strength for a long time. However, their lifespan is not much different from Earthlings’, and when they reach a certain age, they rapidly grow frail.

He did recently claim they have longer lifespans, however.


Their [Saiyans] [natural] lifespan in itself is longer than humans’, but since they are a warrior race, many of them die in battle, and their average lifespan isn’t all that long.

So Goku can't use the remaining years of Elder Kaioshin which has a thousand years left?

I don't see why he would get his lifespan. Lifespan has more to do with physiology since death occurs when your body stops functioning. Kaioshin's body was built to life for thousands of years; whilst Goku's body isn't very different from the human body that generally lives less than 100 years.

Old Kaioshin essentially gave Goku his life back. All he did was resurrect Goku from the dead.. his lifespan would not be transferred.

Along with what Supreme said, there's DBO being written by Toriyama and confirming in its lore that Goku decided to leave Earth with Vegeta for a final battle because he sensed both of them were reaching the end of their lifespan, so Galu's lifespan wasn't altered in any way.

Just a matter of time before Toriyama makes another excuse to make the Saiyans live longer.
