Has Dragon Ball ever motivated you to exercise?

For me, it was partial to me wanting to get stronger but primarily cuz of a health scare from the doctors saying I was pre-diabetic and would develop serious problems at age 19 if I didn't get control on my diet and exercised more. Basically... if I didn't change my lifestyle sooner I'd probably be dead at this point.

I (re)started my diet in late 2013 and had since lost about 40 lbs. I slacked on exercise in mid 2015 so I'm still overweight but somewhat recently got back into exercising. I'm now doing high-rep weight lifts, running 20 minutes, 180 push-ups (sometimes 240), 100 sit-ups, and 80 leg lifts a day five times each week.

Now has Dragon Ball motivated you to improve your body?

I have mimicked some anime and manga moves in the past, but they've never been any direct motivation as I knew the difference between fact and fiction since I was a child. I still occasionally copy stuff I see on TV, but my primary motivation for losing weight/exercising was simply to be skinny again as I once hit 250 lbs and needed to slim down.

I only exercise to look good rather than most people that think of it as being fun (looking good is still a reason for them too obv). That includes the "Runner's high" people seem to get. It's boring but I do it anyway

It's funny to see people's reactions when I tell them that.

One time I did crossfit with my friend and finished in second place. Everyone told me that I should become a regular and I told them that I didn't like it. They looked at me like this :what
