Has Dragon Ball influenced you to write your own story?

We know Dragon Ball has a huge influence on a lot of people. It's pretty much the Japanese Star Wars in terms of popularity and significance.... but has it ever compelled you enough to write your own story?

I'm planning to write an original story, but I don't think I will.
