Honestly can't remember a single thing he did besides getting shitstomped by Gohan in the tag team battle before the Toilet Paper Tournament.

At bare minimum, significant to Cell and Boo Arc characters. His Kikoho was capable of breaking chunks of Katchi-Katchin, whereas the Z-Sword snapped from just regular Katchin when Gohan wielded it. At the very most, not too far below the ToP Base Saiyans as he was still treat as semi-decent material for a sparring session and it'd be in line with Kuririn and Roshi not being too far from Base Galu.

How'd you compare him with post RoSaT Piccolo, for instance? Or a mini Cell?

What about manga Tenshinhan?

Assuming we're talking about the low-end for his power, I'd still say Ten would be higher. I'd say he ought to be above Boo Arc SSJ Gohan at least considering the effort he went through in removing the Z-Sword.

What about manga Tenshinhan?
Similar to his anime's high-end power, given he dodged Magetta in a similar timeframe to Gohan and Piccolo, though he's most likely still below 1st form Frost as Frost already had a grasp of where U7 fighters stood when fighting Goku and still referred to Tenshithands as really weak.

Wasn't Goku and Piccolo concealing themselves when dodging Magetta though?

There's no reason to assume they were suppressing their power, given it's never implied through their actions or dialogue.

Another thing worth noting about Anime Tenshinhan is the Katchi-Katchin was reinforced by 4 Hakaishin after their short sparring match proved it was necessary, so I'd say there's more supporting the high-end estimation of his power.

Piccolo stated for Gohan to save his power when they were amidst the struggle against the U6 combatents iirc.

If we took that feat at face value, wouldn't we have to conclude Tenshinhan's reaction speed was comparable to Gohan's and Piccolo's? And we still know he wasn't that high.

I don't recall Piccolo saying so in the manga. All that seemed to be discussed was the necessity of focusing on teamwork.

Magetta was an opponent Base Vegeta still needed effort to dodge, so even if Piccolo and Gohan weren't going all-out, Tenshinhan still couldn't be light years below ToP Base Saiyan tier to perform that feat.

I thought I remembered one of the producers/writers for that episode claiming the magic made Roshi stronger (because Tenshinhan fanboys were pissed). Someone probably has it saved.

Question.
Tien's tri-beam, it takes life force directly to use right, not like the Kamehameha which takes Ki ?

I don't think so. The emphasis seemed to be on Master Roshi having become stronger via training secretly.

There was one writer though who said Gohan and #17 were equal, IIRC.

He did. Ironically, however, that episode was one he didn't work on, so I wouldn't take his opinion as fact.

Life force is only one component of Ki as a whole. As expanded on in the Super Exciting Guide, one's Ki is determined by the sum of their life force (Genki), courage (Yuuki) and mental stability (Shouki). The Kikoho drains Ten's Genki, though still requires Ki to utilise. After all, it's name literally means "Ki Blast Cannon".

But it's deadly compared to the Kamehameha because it pulls more from the life force of the user than the Kamehameha right?

It does, though it also drains more Ki in general, not just life force.

I thought so.
I was having a conversation on Neo & the topic went into them arguing how Ki attacks as all Ki attacks shortens life span, accelerate aging, & cause death just from using the attacks.

I was trying to explain not all Ki attacks do that simply based on Tien's Tri-Beam alone & or Evil Piccolo.
It just went on into them arguing BS that was never applied that way in the material to Ki in general.
They had an interesting theory but it was based on two characters & one Ki attack.
