...because the earth-soil was so potent for them, how do they turn-out normally or on average or on normal soil ( :donovan3 :donovan3 :donovan3 )?

I'd say maybe about 600 - 800.

Marginally weaker I guess, but still strong enough to kill Yamcha.

Wasn't it stated that the Saibamen that were sprouted from earth were much stronger than usual? Nappa was very pleasantly surprised, IIRC.

Nappa says "They'll grow well in this soil".

On a planet with shitty soil, they'd probably be noticeably weaker or take a bit longer to grow.

Based on how precise Nappa seemed to be ("Impossible. They're 1,200 and rival Raditz!!") when it came to assessing their power, I'd say Saibamen are basically 1,200 in general.

On the contrary, maybe they simply don't grow in some soil types. I don't think he was talking about power when stating that they would grow well. The line EV posted says to me that they would be roughly 1200 regardless.

But I remember reading somewhere that the Saibamen on earth were so strong because of the earth.

I kinda remember that as well.

Maybe it was in the Daizenshuu?

01 ~ Saibaiman Set
A bio-weapon created by the Saiyan. The set includes seeds and a growth-liquid. You bury their seeds in the ground, pour a little bit of the growth-liquid on, waits, and the Saibaiman are born. They have the special trait that their battle power changes based on the nutritional state of the soil they are planted in. Incidentally, the Saibaiman born on Earth, whose soils had a good nutritional state, had a powerful battle power reading of 1,200.

Yep. Daizenshuu #4's "Mysterious Items" section

Thank you.

The Daizenshuu actually made sense this time and added something that wasn't there before that makes sense. :eek:mg :eek:mg :eek:mg

I wonder how strong they'd end up if planted on the World of The Kais...
