Is Manga Base Goku > SSj God Goku?

I don't believe he did. Why would Toyotaro leave out such a critical statement/event such as this—that majorly affects the powers—if he indeed intended to follow the anime's way of doing it? That's a pretty big gap to leave up to the fans, especially those who didn't even know he did a brief couple chapters for the ROF manga, which in itself isn't clear either since again, there's no comment about Base Goku being stronger than ever before where there was in the anime. The image of Goku with Super Saiyan God behind him is strong symbolism, but that's about it. I'd favor the math behind Freeza's transformations more, but that's also humbug due to the U6 arc implying Super Saiyan Blue is merely around 10x stronger than that of regular Super Saiyan, and we know Freeza's forms collectively all add up to more than 200x. Also, new intel reveals the short came out way before the actual Super manga, so it's relation to the latter is questionable at best.

It would make Goku's compliments of Trunks seem ludicrously underwhelming. "You've gotten better" and "you're so much better than Gohan back then" doesn't come anywhere near giving justice to someone who would be far stronger than the likes of Vegetto. Trunks himself is an issue because even considering a very substantial power gain from the Cell Games, he was still having a rough time with Future Dabura until he went Super Saiyan 2. If Goku is stronger than Super Saiyan God, and Trunks is on his level, then that would mean Future Dabura was also dimensions stronger for no discernible reason—that or Trunks got dimensions stronger on his own (since this was after his Z Sword training) within a year or so before Black showed up (if I'm remembering the timeline correctly), which is even more absurd IMO. We can assume Trunks didn't improve too drastically while fighting Black because he only ever comments on how Black had gotten stronger, while never implying he had also benefited, so that's a year of nothing.

He trained. It's not like Goku and Vegeta got monstrously stronger either since they were limited by Future #17's power. A 3x gain is pretty much their cap.

Not to the full extent that be did in the anime, but I definitely think he is significantly stronger post-God in the manga.
