Good question. Probably not, since Gotenks training hardly made Goten and Trunks stronger if at all.

I would say Caulifa was definitely stronger than them. The U6 Namekians are individually weaker than Base Gohan but prove to be a much more significant threat when working together and taking advantage of their high resilience and regeneration.
And as @GreatSaiyaman123 already mentioned, a minimal power boost for the fusees can result in significant power ups for the fusion. Goten and Trunks were relatively close to the adults prior to the RoSaT and still remain weaker after the RoSaT. Despite this, their Base Fusion managed to surpass their prior Super Saiyan Fusion by a significant margin.
