How does the thirsty Indian do against the shaolin monk from the first tournament?

Nam wins. I am currently on my phone. I will elaborate when I get home.

Namu fought evenly with Goku, whereas Roshi noted that it wasn't until his fight with Goku that he had to go all out, and he was already far superior to Kuririn. Namu wins fairly easily.

Nam lasted against Goku, he didn't fight evenly with him. Goku looked to be having more fun than anything. Not to say Nam did bad, or that Goku doesn't have fun when he fights because of course he does. But Nam seemed like a worthy opponent for a time, but Goku inevitably won out of just sheer outclassing him.
This fight is hard to tell though. Maybe Krillin, barely.

I wouldn't call almost losing by KO to be "having fun". The gap between them couldn't have been anything too big, especially with Goku's expression being quite serious during the early portion of their match.

That was Nam's ultimate attack and it hurt Goku, which can be said about a few ultimate attacks from weaker opponents. But he was up before a count of 10, and like I said Nam was a worthy opponent. But I think calling him a 'match' for Goku is pretty far fetched.

Yet his Namu Ami Dabutsu isn't suggested to be much stronger than his other attacks, aside from adding some momentum. Goku was only up due to Bulma monopolising on his overly large desire to eat. If she hadn't shouted "Dinner", it seems certain that Goku wouldn't have got up.

Even before that attack, Goku was shown to be hurt by Namu's attacks, writhing in pain when hit by his karate chop.

Krillin is lagging a good amount behind Namu here. While he was good enough to impress Jackie, he still was unable to land any serious blows, or really make him worry at all. Roshi was worried about the thought of having to fight Goku, and Namu gave him a very tough fight. Namu made Goku work a lot harder than Krillin made Jackie work.

That was in the Goku vs Jackie Chun fight, not in the Goku vs Namu.

Yeah that was when JC hypnotized Goku to sleep. Against Nam he got up on his own power, albeit at the last second. But Nam and Goku both knocked each other back while Jackie KO'd Kuririn with ease when he used his afterimage. Nam >> Kuririn

Nam definitely wins this. Roshi was impressed with Nam's skill. Nam was able to sense and react to a skill that Roshi took Krillin out easily with.
