Goku had favorable training methods by an advanced teacher. Disregard the environment entirely.

Goku thought he was at his limits after training on King Kais planet, so 10x gravity was obviously of no more use to him. Yet Nappa was able to give him quite a bout'. Imagine if Nappa underwent training with King Kai (still disregarding the enviroment)? He would progress to another level and likely one shot Goku.

Vegeta & Nappa always kept ahead of Goku up until a certain time where he received training methods that surpassed the likes of their world. Goku had to endure 'advance' training in order to keep up with their strength level.

If either of them went through King Kais training, 100x gravity training on to Namek, blah blah blah, they would likely remain on top of Goku, and it's all due to potential.

i haven't read much beyond this yet, but gohan had a power-level of 1 in the saiyan-saga (when raditz came) without rage-boosts

You said Nappa's potential was high, because at birth they were able to tell because of high power-level, and I just pointed-out the flaw at that. That does making fucking sense. You just don't understand, because you're talking non-sense.
