Recoome's ultimate attack

What do you think his attack would have been? A huge ki explosion that engulfs a ton of land?

Basically an explosion wave that would've destroyed the entire area. Reacoom said he was going to kill all of them at the same time with the attack.

Thinking about this now, shouldn't Recoome have been concerned for Jhesse and Burta? The attack is implied to be incredibly destructive, yet Jhesse and Burta were not even remotely fazed about him using the attack, despite being close enough for the attack to hit them.

You'd think. He told Goku it wouldn't matter if he tried to run because the blast would catch him, despite knowing how fast Goku is, didn't he?

He probably thought Butta's #1 in the universe speed would've kept them outta harm's way.

Indeed he did.

Freeze Arc Full Colour Volume 3 page 9 shows Butta and Jheese were standing much further away from Reacoom than the rest of the gang.

They were, but Recoome saw Goku make it all the way behind Jheese and Burta in an instant and was still confident that the blast would hit him. Maybe Burta could dodge it with his speed, but Jheese would seem shit out of luck.

The story does make it look like Reacoom was expecting Goku to let him do his attack, though, so perhaps he was expecting him to stay still.

He was definitely hoping Goku would just stand there and get hit by it. I think him telling Goku that running wouldn't make a difference was just furthering that hope.

Could be that despite it's strength, he knew Jheese and Butta could take it. After all, the only members of Freeza's army who could amplify their battle power were Saiyan Arc Vegeta with the Gyarikku Ho and Ginyu's control over his Ki, plus Reacoom was certain Galu's battle power was only 5k and that he was just really fast.

This quote seems to imply that is not the case though.

Recoom: “Alrii---iight! In this case, I’ll perform my trump card…I’ll tell you up front that it won’t matter how fast your run away! This blows away everything in a pretty wide area around me…”

He was sure Goku's power was still just 5k until Butta got KO'd, so his reaction would be the same even if his attack wasn't amplified.
