Didn't include BB because the Gorsei believed that the remaining WB pirates could take him out. True or not, that really removes a ton of his hype. Garp and Sengoku are too old.

The remaining WB pirates could take out WB imo aside from their emotional barriers ofc. Marco, Jozou and the Rose swordsman guy are admiral level or there about. Marco I believe is not that powerful haki-wise since he can rely on his fruit anyway so I don't know how damaging he could be to WB. But basically I don't think that comment about BB is a big deal.

Why do you have Akainu so high? What'd he do lately? All he's done is narrowly defeat Aokiji. No?

Imo top 5 based on current feats and comments in no particular order:

Shanks (Yonkou and with a small crew at Marineford made the Marines stand down so must be pretty strong)
Kaidou (Yonkou)
Mihawk (stronger than Rayleigh)
Blackbeard (mofo hurt Shanks, beat Ace easily and has shown some other physical strength feats)
Big Mom or Dragon (both got crew hype and influence hype but not much clear fighting power hype)

How I think it is really:

Shanks
Mihawk
Dragon
Kaidou
Blackbeard


No Big Mom because like her name implies I think she just controls her crew through respect/patronagr rather than being all that strong herself. Think her crew is top 5 (along with the other Yonkou and The Revolutionary Army, although idk if they're really pirates in the same sense) but not her herself.

Sengoku could still be in there. Idk, seemed pretty strong. His job isn't to fight which would explain him not fighting at Marineford.

I used to think Dragon wouldn't be that strong - maybe not even Admiral level - but now after reading theories on Conqueror's Haki (Shanks using CH to make the sea king go away, Dragon using CH to save Luffy at Loguetown, CH allowing Shanks (and I guess WB) to appear undetected at Marineford) and now I'm thinking that the sky getting messed up when WB and Shanks clashed was down to CH too) I think he'll be unfathomably powerful....maybe the strongest even, along with Shanks and maybe Kaidou (idk) right now.

Don't agree. You're basically implicating that the remaining WB pirates could take out one the Yonkou right now when you say that which is BS. The Gorsei said the remaining WB pirates could take out BB, that includes him and his rapidly expanding crew as well. There's no way the remaining pirates are strong enough to take out a Yonkou empire unless it was weak and starting out and expanding now.

Big Mom+crew were also said to be included in the people that could beat BB+crew, so I see no reason to go into speculative land to have BB > Big Mom.

I'm not saying at all they can take out a Yonkou's full crew, just the captain.

On hype and comments Big Mom>BB but I still think she's gonna turn out to be not all that as an individual fighter. She's just the big boned mom....the children are what's really dangerous.

Akainu has been the person hyped the most in the WG. He's implied to be the strongest admiral multiple times and multiple interviews have him as one of the strongest characters currently. EG

"When creating a protagonist, it is important not to make him too strong.
For example, if Akainu becomes the protagonist, he is so strong that he can put an end to ONE PIECE within a year." Sound Recording (2012)

Also post time skip BB ran away from a town he was ravaging when he found out Akainu came to retaliate. That's all that's needed for Akainu > BB.

He's defo the strongest admiral although I don't find that much impressive when a dying WB was still way above him and even at that time Akainu was probably just about the strongest Admiral.

I doubt WB would have died from that wound. The anime has Akainu look a bit weaker but in the manga Akainu nullified a full swing from WB. The second fight started with WB in rage mode blindsiding him followed by Akainu blowing a chunk of WB's head off (actually killing him speaking long term). WB then gets a decent hit to KO Akaniu but he ultimately lives from it.

I see. So Akainu>=super sick and injured WB. Still wouldn't make being the strongest admiral that impressive. I don't think WB ever even used full on Armament Haki (like Vergo) at Marineford so was probably really weakened compared to a little while before Marineford. Shanks blocked Akainu's attempt to kill Luffy pretty easily too with his haki, which makes me think WB could have tanked Akainu's attack pretty easily if not sick. On top of that Akainu, Aokiji and Kizaru all used their haki together to block WB's earthquake nearer to the start of the war. Guess they could've just been load sharing to make it easier so doesnt necessarily mean WB's earthquake was 3x stronger than their haki but probably shows WB was way stronger. Also not sure if Akainu was using haki to block WB's final attacks on him or not. If he was and WB wasn't using haki (seeing as he never used it previously in the war) then a healthy WB was still way stronger than Akainu....maybe literally over 2x stronger.

Direct power scaling is never gonna work with OP imo. Akainu probably isn't the strongest alive character but he's still the strongest in the WG and probably one of the few people that can stand toe to toe with a Yonkou. And yeah while Akainu didn't retaliate against Shanks that probably has a lot to do with the damage WB dealt. Shanks => Akainu is probable, but no denying that Akainu is in the top strongest of the world.

Didn't include Dragon or Current Teach due to them lacking solid feats or statements, though hype alone due to the statement of all Yonkou being near WB's strength ought to place Teach above Akainu, most likely. Hype ought to place Dragon on the same level, but only time will tell.

^Shiki should be stronger than Garp and Sen Goku, no? Garp and Sengoku fought together against Shiki and even so after the battle, Garp could barely move.

Just found out he's also in something called Chapter 0 which was written by Oda too. Apparently he's still alive lol.

Also Garp and Sengoku needed to team up to fight him. He's not quite as strong as Roger or WB but pretty decent.
