17 showed things far better than Gohan, but his performance against either God Toppo or Jiren seems too much out of place, he has incredible PIS on him. But idk at what point to take seriously his performance against Jiren considering that he did infinitely better against him than what he did against God Toppo... Also is worth saying that while Golden Freeza was oneshooted by Jiren, 17 fared way better.

As for the fight, 17 wins, he is more strategical and has unlimited stamina, while is heavily suggested that Gohan is having trouble of recovering his fighting instincts against either Toppo or Dyspo.

Manga-wise Gohan would win, but in the anime they both appear to be between a ToP SSJG and SSJB so #17 wins due to better tactics and stamina.

Manga-wise, Gohan is definitely stronger which is also shown in the Moro Arc.

Anime-wise, my bet goes toward Android 17 because he's a more strategic fighter than Gohan was during the ToP, has infinite stamina, defensive barriers that could resist attacks from Jiren, and I think 17's performance against Jiren is better than Gohan's battle against handicapped Lightspeed Mode Dyspo.

I wouldn't take 17's feats vs Jiren all that seriously, given 17 couldn't do anything to God Toppo and was barely holding his own against even Base Toppo.

17 is somewhat relative to Base Toppo given how he fared on that beam struggle and how he was able to distract him for a while, God Toppo lasted less time against Evolved Vegeta than what 17 did with Base Toppo even before Freeza arrived, even though he was just marginally weaker than Vegeta.

17 and Gohan getting dominated can also be explained by how they couldn't coordinate properly against him.

But the only explanation that can be make of Jiren is that is either getting nerfed or using distinct and low levels of effort ever since his fight with Ssj Blue Vegeta than what he used against Ssj Blue Kaioken x20 Goku in Episode 109, in which he basically blinked him away. This considering that he isn't able to even oneshoot 17. Lol

The problem is distraction feats don't really mean anything in Super. Even Roshi was able to briefly make Frost keep his guard up from his attacks.

@Animelover5487 But, in this case, 17 was able to push back Base Toppo, as well as it left some cuts on his uniform. This also considering that 17's glove had no scratches after having direct contact with Ultimate Gohan's Kamehameha. At the very least, Base Toppo's edge over 17 has to be less than what Perfect Cell had over Vegeta.

They ought to be around the same, but 17 wins since he has much better feats thanks to what I assume to be skill, technique and infinite stamina.

I think Super Hero explains a lot of Jiren’s fights. If Jiren is only Hakaishin level on bursts, then most of his fights he’s on SSJBE/KKx20 level to conserve energy. 17’s feats do push way beyond his tier though, since he was only supposed to be normal SSJB level.
