Was the Genki Dama > 100% Freeza?

I notice on a lot of battle power lists, people put the Genki Dama below 100% Freeza, but I'm not sure if that's right or not. Goku already acknowledged that Freeza wasn't bluffing about only using 50% of his power, so shouldn't he have made the Genki Dama whilst taking that into account? :sure

If the genki dama was that stronger than furiza I doubt he'd have survived with as little damage as he appeared to.

I think goku just gathered as much energy as he could and hoped for the best.

Vegeta took the Kaioken x4 Kamehameha without too much injury back in the Saiyan Saga, so it could just simply be due to plot that Freeza survived.

Don't think so. Goku said when Freeza announced he'd go 100% only after he already fucked up the planet Namek that he'd seen through how Freeza's body itself can't take his 100% so he'd been holding it off, so he was probably counting on it taking more than an instant to reach that power.

I'd say it's still higher than his 70% based on Freeza being able to tap that instantly, though.

Goku only seemed to come to that conclusion after turning into a Super Saiyan. You do have a point though in that it usually takes a while to power up to full power, and Goku did want to catch Freeza off guard with it. Still, I think that Goku wouldn't want to make any assumptions about his full power when he knew that he'd only get one chance to fire a Genki Dama.
I'd say it's still higher than his 70% based on Freeza being able to tap that instantly, though.

Freeza likes his Freeza-kin skinny at 70% :manabu :manabu

On topic, considering the way Freeza hypes his 100% (thinking he'll beat SSJ Goku in 30 seconds etc.) despite already nearly falling to the Genkidama, I think it's safe to say his power is greater than the attack Goku used before turning SSJ, especially when Freeza has no idea the attack gathers other people's energy and not his own. Goku's also fought multiple opponents that take a while to reach full power (Piccolo Daimao etc.) so him not banking on Freeza being able to dish that out fast is plausible :manabu

Freeza also yells something like "This is nothing!" when he is attempting to push back the Genki Dama, so I suppose one could interpret that to mean if Freeza had time to access his full power, he could push back the Genki Dama. Or maybe I'm just looking too far into it. :idk

That's more denial than anything, like Gohan-Boo constantly shit talking Vegetto before he realized he couldn't win :idk

He says right after surviving it that it nearly killed him. No reason to underestimate the attack anymore :idk

Edit: Agreed with your edited point. I think if Freeza used 100% he could repel the attack, especially since his barrier attack stalemated with Goku's Kamehameha as a Super Saiyan (which likely surpassed the Genkidama)

^I don't remember Boo shit talking Vegetto that much, at least in the manga. It has been a while since I read that fight though.

Anyways, I'm starting to agree with your side. Freeza not knowing what the Genki Dama actually is was a good point I thought.

Lol in the anime they have Boo thinking that he can't believe he is having trouble with SSj Vegetto, when Base Vegetto effortlessly kicked away his Death Ball.

Well, I guess he wasn't serious when he did that massive power up to form that Death Ball. At the very least Boo knew how to dodge it when it was kicked back at him, unlike Coola. :troll2

Coola planned that. Remember, being cooked alive in the sun only made him stronger and infused him with a robot factory that could mass produce beings stronger than Galu :CC :CC

True, though we don't know how strong that attack really was given goku had already toasted himself pretty good with the first kkx3.

Even if it was plot that furiza survived I still don't think the genki dama was stronger than the level of power 100% furiza and goku put out during their fight. Especially the kamehameha vs whatever furiza was doing.

Gohan-Boo stated a few moments later he was not using his full power against Vegetto(he even smiles at the sight of Vegetto kicking away his Planet Buster), so that's why he can't believe he is having trouble with SSjin Vegetto. Remember, Toei's SSjin multiplier is always nerfed to ridiculous levels, like 2.5x or 3x.

The feeling i get is SSJ Goku/100% Freeza were the largest powers up to that point.
