What do you think is the gap between Ginger Town Cell and Suppressed Kamiccolo?

Their fight in the manga was brief but Piccolo was the superior one as confirmed by their actions and Android 16. But just how superior was this suppressed Piccolo?

He was able to bum rush Cell and keep Cell on the defensive. Cell never was able to get a hit in and even his Kamehameha was dodged (and then called weak). However, Cell was never down for long and he didn't look damaged much at all by the end of it. Piccolo lamented that he could have easily won the fight, but we know he was also holding back a decent amount of power since he later powered up and equaled Android 17, whereas before he was at best in rivaling range.

I tend to think it's not as great as some purport. I've seen 1.25-1.3x before, but it doesn't come off like that at all. These two seem closer than most of the other battles in the saga, besides Piccolo and 17. It looks like they're borderline rivals.

85/100 sounds about right to me.

There's Piccolo stating that the energy Cell sucked from his arm isn't enough as he's still stronger than him, and it didn't seem Piccolo would take off his weights there. If we add to Cell a little increase from the absorption while also taking it from Piccolo as he had to regenerate, then the gap is at least a noticeable, considerable one. But yeah, I don't think you need to go for more than 1.2x.

I’m more interested in Vegeta vs Cell though… Vegeta makes a big deal outta Cell’s power, but Cell seems to respect Vegeta’s power… Vegeta also seemed closer to 18 than Cell was to Piccolo.

#18 outright tanked Vegeta's gut punch and beat Trunks just by ramming Vegeta into him (not to mention she was compared to Kamiccolo later). She was merely toying with him the entire fight until breaking both his arms.

Cell did seem wary of the fact that Vegeta'd gotten stronger, but he couldn't risk having a fight there when Kamiccolo was hot on his trail. Vegeta also called both Cell and Piccolo's ki humongous, and Piccolo after having his arm absorbed stated he was above Cell still, but didn't make it seem like it was a huge ass gap. While Just the sight of Piccolo powering up was enough to make Vegeta drop down to base. Cell is comfortably above Vegeta imo.

Piccolo should be a few steps ahead if he takes off his weighted clothing. Cell seemed confident he could at least give the Piccolo he saw (weighted) a fight going by what he said when Trunks and Krillin arrived, if that's original material that is. If not, I still say he's 8 to Piccolo's weighted 10.

In the anime, Steve Simmons translated Piccolo's dialogue performed when he revealed his plan of pretending to have lost the battle as "Even taking into account the energy you sucked from my arm, I'm still FAR more powerful than you", adding the intensifier "far" to describe their gap. Is such said in the JP manga?

I tried to do my own translation... but it didn't go very well lol. Still, I didn't find an equivalent for "way", "far" or the such.

That would still be taking into account Piccolo's overall power IMO. It would need further context like "and I'm not even at full power" to be referring to his suppressed level being "far" above Cell.

There's nothing that says he's far above. Piccolo says the following:

"Seru... kisama ni suitorareta kataude no bun no enerugi wo keisan shitemo mada ore no hou ga jitsuryoku ga ue..."

"Cell... even taking into consideration the amount of energy you absorbed from my arm, my power is still greater..."
