It'd be even better than it already is.
Beerus/Champa, Whis/Vados, and the U6 team would all have tragic but entertaining back stories.
Most of the humans would be relevant again, even power wise. Launch, that Sno girl, the Indian dude, and other people I don't remember would all be back.
Freeza would still be alive. Vegeta would have got the win on Freeza.
The arcs would be 2-3x longer

The story overall would be far better, though I doubt it'd still reach anything beyond average due to Toriyama's lack of planning clashing with Oda's top foreshadowing and setup. For it to become a whole lot better and write at his best quality, Oda would probably need to reboot the DB series before making Super more than a clusterfuck.
Given how current Oda seems to be getting as bad as current Toriyama when it comes to powerscaling and character writing, however, I don't think it'd make any difference in the long run.
