What type of Namekian was Piccolo Daimao?

Pretty sure the Namek was Dragon clan. The good half, Kami, kept the Dragon clan status while Daimao became a warrior type because of his nature.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Dragon clan Nameks have the ability to be warrior types as well? Wasn't Nail taught the ancient ways of Namekian combat by Guru before he got too old and fat?

I think he was a dragon clan type, considering he has shown the ability to birth eggs and his son hasn't even when similarly mortally wounded. Technically it only says warrior types can't spit eggs in the Daizenshuu, but it works with the manga in this case. Him being the same type as his good half makes sense considering they look identical and were the same being, while Junior is still technically Daimao's child even if they have the same memories.

He's not his child in the sense of Dende being the fat fuck's child, though. He is a reincarnate, it's not the same.

It's shown they are distinct beings when Daimao implores his son to avenge his death and by numerous other pieces of dialogue that establish Daimao's evil was diluted by his "rebirth," and how Kami states Piccolo's father was the same being as him and not the son. I don't see how they necessarily have to be the same being when fat fuck guru gave birth to different types of Namekians as well while remaining a dragon clan member, and Daimao is simply Kami (a dragon clan member) split in two with an evil personality. He gave his reincarnation his memories, but they had different bodies and separate minds.

For instance, Super Boo has the same memories as Fat Boo and speaks as if he committed all of fatty's actions himself, but his body changed to become more battle-oriented. Similar concept here.

Well yea, I'm not arguing that they are the exact same being, but the dialogue also goes the other way. Piccolo refers to himself as the same Piccolo from 3 years prior on multiple occasions. Fat fuck can give birth to different types, sure, but those are his direct children. Piccolo Daimao and Majunior Chicken are a different sort of bond than fat fuck and his true children.

Yeah I'm not arguing that Junior isn't different than his other sons, but since he can clearly control the type of body his offspring receive (cymbal was much weaker than Tamb etc.), I don't think it's too illogical to assume he can choose a type different than his original for his next incarnation, especially when it was born via the normal method of Namekain reproduction.

Of course he's a warrior type Namekian, I don't think a Namekian can be a dragon clan member if his heart is impure.
