When it comes to Goku's form of attaining UI, which one was better (or less worse)? I don't think Goku getting the form from a near death experience in the anime made any sense, but the manga... :punk

I'm giving it to the anime just because they bothered to foreshadow it as early as episode 5, but it's pretty close in terms of suckiness.

Anime absolutely beats the pants off the manga and its not even close. DBS anime actually managed to catapult MUI into being the most popular form in the entire franchise (maybe with the exception of SSJ) through sheer presentation alone.

MUI in the manga is just there, everyone just thinks of MUI in the anime when they say it's their favorite form. Toyotaro took until end of Moro arc to give it a "hype" moment.

It's UI as a whole, not just MUI. How the fuck does Goku getting hit with his own attack make him basically learn autododge?

Definitely the manga. Getting to see MUI Roshi in action was the greatest moment in Super.

MUI is unquestionably just a transformation, the auto dodge is just a bonus.

You're getting it backwards. The essence of UI is fighting without thinking, the transformation is just Goku's way of handling it. And Goku learning the form from what pretty much is a glorified Zenkai makes no sense. The manga at least had explained what the form is and Goku activating it upon understanding.

That's why Goku gets a gargantuan sized power up, gets a hair color change, can create massive Naruto giant sized versions of himself, split himself up into multiple versions. That's why MUI also physically alters Goku's body as well and drains his stamina.

White haired MUI is a transformation and at this point in the story the "fighting without thinking" is the bonus and not the major power of the form. If you're referring to the non white haired states of MUI then I can see a case being made, but Super Saiyan White itself is most definitely a transformation.

You think the anime actually foreshadowed the moment? :punk:punk:punk

if it came-off as such it 100% unintentional, considering they can’t even keep consistent from episode-to-episode. :cena:cena:cena
