The Flute of Summoning Dragons allows both players to summon dragons in their hand in the manga and early anime

i'm not talking abt that i think

i mean yugi having 2 cards i think. he only had 1 card (or that'd make sense) but then he had red-eyes black-dragon & magical-cylinder i think.

Nothing made sense. In the manga, the duel disk had space only for 5 cards, yet Yugi played six (Black Dragon, Dark Magician, Beta Warrior and 3 face down cards).

Didn’t they have slots to slide your magic and trap cards in?

Only in the anime and related media. In the manga continuity (pre-DSOD and GX and onwards) there were no separate slots for spells and traps.
