I don't remember Usopp showing many moments of higher intelligence. He seems as immature as Luffy, not that immaturity = intelligence but you might get the point.

The extent Usopp outwitted Luffy in their duel really surprised me. It was honestly something you might expect out of Sanji helping the Straw Hats in ways outside of fights.

Usopp is a strategist (vs Luffy and vs Chu). Sanji speaks French to try to sound smart. "1 creme brule + 1 creme brule = 3 crossaints" "wow, so smart!"

Usopp is very smart. He's generally weaker than his foes so he relies on strategies to make his way through, which he specifically highlighted in his fight vs Luffy. He created Nami's weapon like mentioned and Nami went specifically for him because she knew he was the craftsman of the crew before Franky joined. Also ought to consider all the plan he elaborated when Mr. 3 had Zoro, Vivi and Nami stuck in his candle and Luffy was being stuck by that little girl's power... He basically saved the crew there thinking of a way to get them out. Sanji may be more unpredictable in some instances like on CP9 and he's shown to be very creative in many fights and outside fights circumstances, but it's difficult to tell whether he's smarter than Usopp. Both have had their moments. Usopp is immature like Luffy sometimes, but all of the crew except Robin and Nami were lumped together with Luffy in their silly goosing off moments. Zoro is supposedly very serious but he was together with Luffy in many stupid ideas like when they were heading for Fishman island and they'd constantly get beaten up by Nami. Sometimes, Zoro appears serious while Sanji is the one goofing off with Luffy, Usopp and Chopper. I'd say Usopp does partake more when being a joker and laughing off at silly things with Luffy while Zoro is more serious with that, given for example their excessive trust on Mr. 2 and Zoro and Sanji being more cautious. While when it's on the realm of having inconsequent ideas, Zoro appears more alongside Luffy, while Usopp appears cautious as that's already in a dangerous territory for him and he doesn't have the strength to back it up.

Sanji is shown goofing off more in some adventurous feelings, but more so when he associates that with women, not just having an adventurous feeling in general. But his adventure feeling sometimes seems more pronounced than Zoro's, like when he enjoyed the landscape of Sky island and wanted to step on it being all happy like the others... While Zoro seemed more the type to want to stay in the ship. But in other instances, Zoro is the one to want to explore the new territory, like when he went ahead on little garden to explore or on that land of the pacifistas (damn, name flew over my head and it's a very important island) and Sanji was worried he'd get lost. So in short, they all have their moments in which it seems some traits are more pronounced than others.

Zoro doesn't have many elaborated ideas like Sanji and Usopp, but that's not to say he's dumb, just that he doesn't think outside his field that much. When the matter is battle, he's as witted as Sanji since it's his field and what he's set to do, like when he understood King's power, he knew Kaku was exploiting the centripète force to make his attack stronger, he remembered his teachings so he could cut steel vs Mr. 1, he figured out Pica's powers... And he was the one who kept his wits when Sanji and Usopp were losing their heads after the Aokiji's fight, which is also a form of intelligence, as leadership and cool headiness in difficult moments is essential... So he isn't less smart than they are, he just has his wits directed to more specific fields. So I always take Guidebooks evaluating their intelligence with a grain of salt... Chopper is also very silly and innocent many times, but no one can best him in his field, medicine. Same for Franky.
