How does suppression of ki while maintaining flying speed work?

Title. Eg while Goku, Krillin, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, Kibito (RIP fam), Kaioshin (no longer exists) etc tailed Yamu/Mr Spopo.

Since speed and PL generally correlate and they have to power up to go faster.

Flight speed is different from battle speed. Characters fly as fast or slow as the plot needs them to.

They probably don't maintain it. When Gohan/Krillin were suppressed on Namek they weren't even able to fly without their Ki being too high. So any level of suppression would probably reduce flight speed from their maximum.
