In the end it says 6 months for the wish to forget Boo & then another 10 years go by. It should be obvious but does it mean 6 months is part of the 10 years or 10 & a half years since the battle with Boo?

Based on the chronology of how it was written I'd assume 10 years and 6 months, but that still falls within 10 years.

10 years & 6 months’d be weird though, right? Does that mean the Tenkaichi-Budokai at the end was in October for some reason or that another 10 years & 6 months went-by, meaning a total of 11 years since the battle with Boo?

The Tenkaichi Budokai is always held in May 7th. It’s 10 years after the battle with Boo, and 9.5 years after the wish to make everyone forget.

Technically it being always held on May 7th is a guide-book thing but yeah it makes sense for it to always be around the same time & at-least same month.

well the time jumps were crazy in the original dragon ball universe timeline mostly in dragon ball z

and i do not think in dragon ball super timeline there was any crazy time jumps
