Did he also kill a family before that? At 0:33.

Did he have some good (and where from, if he's the reincarnation of King Piccolo, who was evil and didn't even care about his own offspring, shown by not caring about Piano being killed), or did he just do it for his own sense of power?

Toei already knew about Piccolo's growth beforehand so they added in some filler showing he was always good at heart, but highly influenced by his father's will.

Piccolo Jr. saving the child & the mother

So what about the family? Did he kill them by blowing up their house? And then regret it, so he saved a kid? Or was he jealous of the family but not of a lone kid?
