Bleach is Oculus Rift. Looks cool but went nowhere and you can probably win all the games by flailing around angrily.

Dragon Ball is Playstation because it's the trailblazer that convinced the masses that anime was actually kinda cool and wan't just "kids' stuff", just like Playstation did for video games.
OP is Nintendo because it's fun, whimsical (way moreso than DB), and adventurous.

Play-Station came-from under Nintendo, kind-of. Nintendo has been there since Day-1. Also Akira & Ghost-in-the-Shell movie did it before or not?

They were extremely limited releases outside Japan so they only won over a specific audience. The anime craze really started with DBZ and Toonami in general, fam.

Don’t know about US. What about Sailor-Moon? Besides Akira & Ghost in the Shell were respected & well-known, weren’t they? Even Matrix makers knew of GitS.

Sailor Moon was also with DBZ in Toonami. It was the option for the girl audience.
