#19/20 not being who Trunks warned about VS Shin and Kibito's amnesia

Which of these two egregious retcons would you say was more damaging overall?

In my opinion, the #19/20 retcon was a lot worse than Shin and Kibito simply forgetting how strong the Saiyans were, since the latter at least doesn't affect the plot in any major way for the sake of contrived continuity.

The Androids being the fakes was more of a crucial error to the plot than Kaioshin's forgetfulness. There was a much bigger threat hidden away that made the Super Saiyans look like big jokes.

Kaioshin and Kibito just went from being cool and mysterious to stupid and incompetent.

19/20 not being the right ones can be (and was) corrected with a change in the translation. Shin's amnesia caused eternal loops in debates about Buu Saga PLs.

I don't think there was a damage about Trunks mistake since Vegeta and other will always get their ass kicked whether the Androids were the ones or not.

19/20 not being the right ones can be (and was) corrected with a change in the translation.

Even if you change Trunks telling Goku that 17 and 18 are the Artificial Humans that will appear in 3 years, that would still cause conflict when everyone doesn't immediately recognize 19 and 20 aren't the correct Artificial Humans when realizing they're different numbers.
