2011 HxH

For those of you who have read manga. Is 2011 HxH worth watching after reading the manga? It’s available on Netflix and I want to watch an anime.

it's fine. beginning is a little annoying since they skip the first chapter and pokemon the hell out of it with super upbeat vibes, but past that it's fine. chimera ant is a lot slower though.

Definitely worth it since it drastically improves the art. It removes a few scenes, but those it removes are inconsequential to either the story or characters. The only exception would be leaving Kite's introduction until the Chimera Ant Arc, though it at least adds a shortened version of his and Gon's first meeting and had a decent trade-off in a nice filler flashback of Kite meeting Ging for the first time.
It also picked an ideal spot to end on since Gon meeting with Ging at least provides some catharsis to his arc, which is a nice place to end on if viewing the series' as Gon's story. It's not as though Togashi will offer the same to the other characters for another decade or two

If wanting to view an anime on a legitimate streaming site though, watching Vinland Saga on Prime Video is a far better choice.

Vinland Saga is a Seinen anime often compared to Berserk or dubbed "Viking Berserk" due to the relationship between Thorfinn and Askeladd being quite similar to the story between Guts and Griffith in the early Golden Age, as well as both series focusing on the horrors of war.

The anime covers the first major arc (the Askeladd Arc). There will be some problems you may find such as Thorfinn's one-note goal, though many of these get fixed in the later arcs. Comparing it to Berserk, it's not on Golden Age's level, but even at its lowest point is still leagues better than Post-Tower Berserk.

So it’s a poor man’s Berserk that is more consistent in quality? Might check it out.. but if the manga is better I’d rather read it.

The anime is better for executing early events, since it's told in chronological order rather than constant flashbacks. There is some parts where the animation drops in quality, though it's for such short moments that they're barely noticeable.

I wouldn't exactly cite it as a poor man's Berserk. Whilst they share similarities, Vinland executes its events in a unique enough way to set it apart (Thorfinn's more comparable to someone like Kenshin in the later arcs than Guts). It isn't as good as Golden Age overall, but isn't too far behind. Askeladd is as well written a villain/anti-villain as Golden Age Griffith.

If you watch HxH, just skip the Hunter Exams and the Zoldyck mansion faggotry and go straight to the Heavens Arena. Vinland Saga is good, I recommend it. Pretty much the best anime of 2019, although since it doesn't have much competition other than Blade of the Immortal (which is only covering its slow beginning so far anyway), it doesn't have much competition.
