Have you guyread or watched anything that debuted in 2018/2019? The most recent series that I have gotten into is Super, which obviously came out in 2015. If you have seen anything recent, did you enjoy it?

Todays Menu for the Emiya family and Sword art online season 3. I haven't watched a ton in the past year or so.

I watched a bit of Kaguya-sama (Winter 2019) and Takagi-san (Winter 2018) as I'd read the manga for both but I've left them alone for a while now. Watching anime at a steady pace got a bit difficult for a while, but I'll probably pick them back up soon. Also watched a couple eps of the second season of Saiki K (Winter 2018).

Looking back I've mostly only touched pretty light stuff recently. They're easy to consume and I've been busy so that'd be why. I guess in addition to the above I'll also check out Hinamatsuri, Grand Blue, JJBA Part 5, maybe the Fate/stay night movies that've been coming out, either based on recommendations or just things that appear interesting on the surface.

The only one I took enough interest in to watch consistently was JoJo Part 5, as well as the Broly movie to see how bad it was. There was also Saint Seiya: Saintia Sho, though I could only tolerate about 2 episodes of it.

The Legend of the Galactic Heroes remake seems to be the best anime to come out in those years if viewed in a vacuum, though is pretty much worthless when stacked up against the original 1988 OVA series.

Vinland Saga will undoubtedly be the best of the bunch once it airs in July. Might also see Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya to see how terrible this remake is compared to the original (already made apparent by the gender-bending of Shun in the trailer).

Difference between the majority who only watch seasonal anime vs those who bother to watch series older than a decade (and know how better the medium used to be). :mikey

Current anime and manga seem so unappealing to me. There is nothing interesting anymore.

Yeah. I think most people that venerate the current animes as something truly outstanding probably haven't seen the old and classic ones. I personally understand the frustration. Although I am not knowledgeable on animes in general, just seeing what DB turned out to be is enough to generate a big disappointment.

I was already disappointed with how the Boo arc turned out... Super being bad was expected.

Despite it being set before EoZ solidified that nothing of consequence would happen? :wtf

Super has so many plotholes that something of consequence could happen and they'd just forget it a week later :troll
