Based on Kuririn's statement and their performances, they ought to be either exactly equal or minimally apart. Yamcha has the advantage of better Kamehameha use, whereas Kuririn has the advantage of more unorthodox tactics.

Chapter: 122, P13.3-7
Kame-sennin: “Panput was truly a fearsomely skilled master, but only when seen from an ordinary level…To your eyes, however, he didn’t look like anything special…That shows just how much you two have acquired strength that surpasses the ordinary.”
Kuririn: “But…Yamcha lost, and he was about as good as me. And even I had a really tough fight against that runt.”
Kame-sennin: “There’s no helping that. It’s because your opponents were also super masters who have surpassed the ordinary.”

Almost got ninja'd by CC here.

Anyway the statement says it all. They're about the same, but Kuririn's "Even I" might imply he's slightly above.

The context would suggest about how he struggled so much against someone he knows is nowhere close to Ten's level, so I wouldn't say it points to him having the edge.

Quite honestly, there is almost no difference between the two of them in terms of raw strength. Yamcha seems more skilled in general with his Ki, what's with being the second character after Goku to master the Kamehameha (and later creating his own unique technique, but that's for another debate).

However, as pointed out by CC, Krillin's ability to think outside the box definitely is a quality he has over Yamcha. And if the two had the chance to fight, Krillin would have most definitely win imo, since I believe it's a more important quality to have in a battle than firing a better Kamehameha, particularly when it allowed Krillin to win against an opponent who had far better techniques.
