Krillin thought Tien may have become too strong after watching him blitz and one-shot Tien plus he couldn't keep up with his true speed.

That's a fairly big gap... like a 1.6x difference.

But can we really use it as evidence? Whether the spectators can keep up with the fight is inconsistent (ex. fights with
Saibaimen, Cell Games)

Yeah speed tracking feats are inconsistent. 1.4-1.45x gap falls short of being a one-shot but he at least wins a little easier than Piccolo did.

There is no one shot gap dude. One shotting is inconsistent.

I disagree. Goku (60,000) vs Recoome (40,000) is a clear example of a one-shot gap. Name one instance where a one-shot has been inconsistent.

How about 3?

Kkx10 Goku isn't one shotted by 50% Freeza.

Goku isn't one shotted by Tao Pai Pai

Goku isn't one shotted by King Piccolo.

Freeza is a sadist. He loves to torture and beat up his enemies before killing them. Simply one-shotting Goku would ruin all the "fun".

Tao Pai Pai stated that he was holding back in their last fight.

You mean -50% Old Piccolo Daimao?

Tao Pai Pai

" Ho! You didn't die? "

After Tao kicks Goku really hard.

And yes, 40% King Piccolo.

It's pretty clear one shotting in DBZ is for dramatic affect and has little to do with power level consistency.

Yes Tao did put a bit of effort into that kick but it still was nowhere near his full amount of power. It's a case similar to Krillin vs Powered Up Piccolo where Piccolo still wasn't using anywhere near his full power but still believing that his hits would be strong enough to instantly kill or at least KO Krillin.

Maybe Piccolo wanted to torture Goku too....in retaliation for killing his sons.

Tao not being at full power is irrelevant though. Tao is strong enough to one shot Goku and Goku is not one shotted.

King Piccolo is surprised at Goku's resilience. One shot is not consistent.

...Or rather it's not linear?

Tao obviously wasn't trying. He was indifferent and was merely surprised he didn't instant KO Goku.

If it's not linear, then there is absolutely no reason to be debating gaps. That would be the biggest waste of time. So let's assume it is linear.

Considering Tao's reaction and how badly Goku was hurt, that's definitely a one shot gap to me.
