Maybe it died and revived in that baby village so many times that it took a different form :troll

I thought that maybe that Agumon is the same one, but we saw what happened in the movie through Taichi & Hikari's eyes and since they were young children everything and every adult seemed bigger/taller to them. Just like an adult would seem much bigger to you as a child, so they turned it literally into that. That however still wouldn't explain the damage done to the area or anything.

No, that Agumon was certainly waaaay bigger than the one in the Adventure series. It was like the size of a vending machine while the normal Agumon was like 2-3 feet tall, lol.

I agree I just meant we saw it as they perceived that. Like Yami Yugi apparently somehow being taller, despite the height logically staying the same I think. Just for the viewers.

Nah, I don't think it was just from their perspective. Greymon was like 10-15 feet tall max in the Adventure/02 series, but the Greymon in the movie was like literally the size of a godzilla. Agumon also broke part of a bridge just by jumping on it iirc whereas the normal Agumon could be carried by 11-year old Taichi in his arms, and fit into children's clothes.

I couldn't make sense of the damage around the so rounding area either. Not only that but Agumon didn't talk at all, almost like Skull Grey-Mon (he didn't talk right?! I can't remember exactly). The Agumon from the series talks and seems to be fully conscious of what he's doing unlike the Koromon from the movie who seemed to lose himself when he digivolved

Also Agumon didn't seem to have any memory in the series of these events either.

So who was this? A different Agumon? What happened to this Agumon?

Interesting questions

SkullGreymon didn't talk in 01, but in 02 he called out an attack name just once. The Agumon in the movie seemed to be a separate Agumon, although in tri Agumon was shown to have memory of this Agumon. Tri however, is completely garbage and wasn't even directed by the same man who directed Adventure/02 (and I seriously have my doubts that this guy even watched all of the first two series), so I consider it non canon. Judging from what we know of Last Evolution, they may choose to ignore tri as well considering that all the images juxtaposed into the poster of Last Evolution were from 01/02 but none were from the worse-than-DBS failure that was tri.

Yeah, I wonder what happened to that Agumon. He said they were friends after-all and then he just disappeared after. If the film wasn't narrated by Taichi, it could have just been a dream by Hikari since no-one seemed to remember the events IIRC, Taichi included.

I think it's implied at the end of that movie that that Greymon died killing that Parrotmon. If it survived, it may have just returned to the wilderness of the Digimon World and become just another wild Greymon.

Yeah, it was established that they become ghosts, like Wizardmon from Adventure and Myotismon.

It's 88 minutes, not 20. I mean Digimon 2000.

Also when I said his sister is cute - I just realised that looks dodgy.
