An Artificial Saiyan

So, we all know hoe capable an Artificial Human/Android is in both power and potential, #17 being the prime example. Now, what would happen if the same was done on a Saiyan? Specifically, an infinite energy type.

From Super, we're given two important confirmations for the infinite energy type. The latest manga chapter has Piccolo confirm #17 and #18 have no Ki and episode 83 of Super has Gohan confirm that both have been manipulated on the cellular level. From these, we can see how they can become stronger when training to enhance their infinite energy output.

Now, for fairness, we'll only be using an average low-class Saiyan for this thought experiment; someone like Raditz. With that said, do you believe they would be able to make the same GAINZ as #17 did? Whilst Saiyans >> Humans tends to be a given, it's worth noting Toriyama stated in an interview about the ToP that #17 has great potential in general and we've seen some humans are suggested to have greater potential than less talented Saiyans, such as Kuririn's unlocked potential already initially bringing him to a far higher level than Nappa got from decades of fighting. Of course, the one thing that could make this irrelevant is the enhancement of the cells and the ease of training gains. With infinite stamina and possibly greater potential for gaining Zenkais, it seems like the ultimate Zenkai abuse system. This is especially true when you consider Toriyama also stated that #17 and #18's bodies age far slower than normal humans.
Leaving aside the question of how ridiculously broken such a character would be, one important question is would they be able to utilise Super Saiyan when they have no Ki and, if not, would they be able to utilise their own version based on their cells and infinite energy in a manner similar to how Black mixed his unique Kai Ki with Super Saiyan Blue to make Super Saiyan Rose?

I think we know very little of how Gero's technology works to assert the products of creating Artificial Saiyans, but they certainly would have some broken potential.

I guess whether or not Raditz would be able to become a Super Saiyan would literally depend on Gero's will. If Androids are altered on molecular level, then S-Cells aren't immune to his engineering, which would mean Gero must either leave the S-Cells the way they are or replace them with synthetic cells which we have no idea of knowing how it would work.

Anything else is as much conjecture as power levels. I really spent some 10 minutes trying to think of these and got a headache from how contradictory this stuff is. If they don't use Ki then what do they use? Why are the Cyborgs Ki-less if they're just enhanced humans? What are these cellular enhancements? Does Ki depend of Midichlorians and Gero is making synthetic midichlorians or something?

I'd assume the cellular enhancements have them link to the infinite energy reactor in their bodies, essentially offering them what's renewable energy that lacks the downsides of natural Ki.

Does Ki depend of Midichlorians and Gero is making synthetic midichlorians or something?
I think the more important question is did you ever hear the tragedy of Dr. Gero the Wise?

I don't know about SSJ, but I think a cyborg Raditz could have been potentially even stronger than the strongest ones we have. It's true that it was stated #17 had a pretty big potential in GT, but I think that may be pertaining only to the cyborg #17, not himself as an earthling. But eh, considering how much strong Kuririn got when following the best path to gain strength presented in the DB world, I wouldn't put past it for there being earthlings like Lapis and Lazuli as hiding a pretty big potential.

The one in GT definitely only concerns his enhancements, though Toriyama stated concerning the ToP that #17 has great potential. It would be questionable if that was only about his enhancements, considering #18 should also be given a mention when limiting her initial power should necessarily do the same to her potential.

Makes sense.

Makes you wonder why Gero didn't just clone Vegeta or something and give him cybernetic upgrades :troll2

To be fair, it's not as though it seems easy for Gero to clone people from trace amounts of their DNA. Cell's probably the closest thing to that, and creating him still took 20+ years.

Now, Gero using the DBs to revive the CHADitz, subduing him with one of his later failed projects like #13 and then upgrading him though...:panties

Cell required mixing a stable genetic profile of pretty much all the powerful entities to have shed blood while on Earth, which would be far more complicated than simply cloning a single entity. Even if it's not canon, Toriyama designed the Bio-Warriors in M2 (and Wheelo himself), so odds are it shouldn't be too difficult for someone like Gero to clone a Saiyan from a blood sample.

We aren't really given much of a timeframe of how long it took to make the Bio-Warriors though. The most we have to go on as far as full on cloning is...Bio-Broly, which I guess you could use to show how quick it can be if you want to give Legendary Super Swamp Thing some credit :troll2

If assuming Wheelo created them after being freed from the ice, it may have taken no time at all. Can't remember if it was stated that other bald guy created the bio-warriors though, since I haven't watched that movie in years. If using Bio-Broly (although I'm pretty sure I've never seen a Toriyama sketch of Bio-Burori so far) as reference, it shouldn't take long at all, seeing as the bio-warriors from that movie seemed to be inferior to base Goten and Trunks, yet they were able to make a full-fledged copy of Broly in under a month.

it'd be pretty fun if raditz were used as basis for Gero's androids and became the enemy again at the androids arc with him himself having the knowledge of whom he was prior lol.

It would be nice to have Raditz be given more shine, though this arc was already packed with old villains reappearing through Mecha Freeza and the Red Ribbon Army. Maybe it could've further highlighted the themes of the arc, but I'd probably imagine him making the arc more repetitive tbh.
