But how would they possibly handle fighting on someone at least waaaaaaay over 50% or probably even 100% Freeza? Whitebeard got impaled by a sword from a weakling and lava blew off half his head. Even if he was stronger in his prime, he was only a little weaker than Roger and that's pretty much the limit of OP strength. There's no way they're touching anyone that far into DBZ.

Even Saiyan Saga characters could potentially solo One Piece imo, barring hax.

Every big mangaka is fan of Toriyama. Togashi? Fan of DB. Kishimoto? Fan of DB. Oda? Fan of DB. Wow, just wow, Toriyama-sama.
^That interview is fake. Just like the one where Kishimoto states Madara = Nappa, The one where J.K Rowling states that a muggle with a shotgun can solo a wizard, and the one where Toriyama states DB would end after Freeza, all of those interviews were fabricated by fans to create "evidence" for their crazy and impossible theories

G_O_G_E_T_A from Neoseeker thought Toriyama really wanted to end DB after the Frieza Arc before they revealed to him it was fake, and he was a pretty respectable member back then. Just because the member who said it is respectable, it doesn't mean he is right. Also, why would Oda simply throw around something like that in an interview, unless the interviewer explicitly asked him "How would Whitebeard compare to Dragon Ball characters". I also can't seem to find the supposed interview, i've seen people on forums saying Oda stated that in an interview with Toriyama(which would make it more credible) but the only interview where Oda and Toriyama were reunited i've seen so far is this one: http://www.thegrandline.com/odainterview.html
And there is no mention of Whitebeard in it.
