I can plausibly see him hitting his limit in the Androids/Cell arc considering he doesn't even bother to mention he improved when he returns in the Boo arc. I mean, Piccolo also gained almost nothing after the Cell arc as well.

I think it should be rather significant, Tenshithands missed out on all of the Freeza arc and Yamcha was still certain Kuririn was the strongest human after 7 years.

I put the training at King Kai's to be a near on par replacement for the events on Namek, he had almost a full year or over a year of time on Kai's planet.

I don't find it necessary for the gap to be big, just big enough to be stronger. Seeing as how Tien kept training while Krillin settled down after Cell, even more so for the gap to not be big.

That's just my thoughts though. Not trying to debate/argue cause honestly you could be right. When it comes to the humans especially, it's not clear cut.

Yamcha is so shit after training with Kaio that honestly I mainly see it as a hax boost for Piccolo only. Even if Tenshinhan technically stayed there longer, I can't see him gaining that much from the same training at that point.
