Not sure if this is common knowledge or what, but still a question I'd like to ask. Say you beat up 17/18 significantly, would their power level still remain at their maximum, or would they lose power despite having infinite energy?

I don't think they would lose power, but they'd still feel pain and be slowed down by it.

#17 was breathing heavily after Cell rek't him, so I'd sat the infinite energy is an exaggeration.

That's pretty contradictory to Piccolo saying the androids' stamina never goes down also.

Does stamina have to equal power though?

That's a weird question, you may not get what I mean.

Bad analogy here, but...

If the android in my hand has an infinite battery, I can still drop the shit out of it and it will start to malfunction.

It makes sense that the battery would be the most durable part of their bodies, given its importance. Cell beat the shit out of #17 without any worry of damaging him beyond repair, too, so it can probably take some punishment.

I don't think their power ever drops. That seems to stay the same. However, their bodies can take serious damage.

#18 never took an ass whooping from Cell, but being inside of Cell was enough to damage her. That's why Dende had to heal her.

Being inside the body of perfection is enough to damage anyone.

....if you know what I mean...

Infinite energy means your power cannot go down by exhaustion. That doesn't mean it can't go down by
something else, like battle damage.

Viz always adds "huff" to indicate they are out of breath.

Okay, but why would 17 be pausing between words?

It could be for various reasons. Maybe he's in pain, in shock, in disbelief, angry. He's certainly not out of breath. Viz makes it very clear when one is out of breath.
