Prologue
Planet 093 had seldom seen peace. For countless decades the Saiyans had ruled over it. A warrior race bred for a single purpose, to fight. They were extremely powerful warriors but lacked the technological advances of the Tuffles. For years the two races battled, and for years both sides bled. At this time, the Saiyans were not yet an empire -nor did they have the technology to benefit their will, they were unable to orchestrate plans too complicated. Nobody had led them yet and they merely acted on instinct. However, after a long and drawn out war with one another, the Tuffles population began to dwindle and now there was no more than one Tuffle city that remained.
Chapter 1
Daylight had dispersed from the lonely lands on Planet 093. There were no animals, Tuffles or Saiyans, except a small host led by Nozark. They were fierce warriors with battle powers approaching 2,000 -low level Saiyans, but rather powerful, even for their rank. They had been sent out by their race to break the Tuffle resistance in the mid-west. In that particular area, the Saiyan armies were taken off guard and destroyed. The Tuffles had plasma guns and plasma canons that were powerful enough to pierce through the durable skin of the Saiyans. They also had outnumbered the Saiyans three to one. Through suffering great losses at the hands of the Saiyans, they eventually overcame their enemies through blood and sweat. Now, a small host was heading back to avenge their fallen comrades. They were given strict orders from their superior to not return until the task had been completed. Their plan was to use the benefits of the full moon, and utterly destroy them. Though, they felt differently.
"Why?" Asked Annana. She was a rather fit warrior, the stronger of the two females under the order of Nozark. She had dark brown hair that was messily worn.
"Why what?" returned Nozark.
"Why do we have to kill the Tuffles? Surely they would be our allies if we let them." Replied Annana. She felt reluctant in carelessly murdering hundreds of innocent people. To her, they had only defended their home from the cruel intentions of the Saiyans who invaded it.
"We have orders. Anything else is beyond debate," Nozark replied. Though he too felt dismayed in carrying out such orders.
Mangof and Amorak were scouting ahead of the group. They were given orders to search the area for surviving Saiyans and to kill any Tuffles that remained. The area they were searching was a great city that the Saiyans had taken from the Tuffles, only to lose control of it a few short days later. Currently, Nozark and his companions were located on the outskirts of the city, within a great forest that stretched across the expansive land.
"We were able to steal one of their scouters," Said Nozark as he dug through his brown tunic. He pulled out a small device and handed it to Annana. "Try it on." He offered her the scouter.
Annana put the scouter on, but she appeared to be quite displeased. "Wow... I can't see fucking shit out of this." She said as she closed one eye and tried to examined the area. "How is this going to help us?" She asked curiously.
"It will tell us the location of the Tuffles. Where they are, their battle powers and how many are left. Without it, we may go in blind, and that's something we cannot afford to do." He replied as he walked up to her. "What are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm fucking with the eye piece. I think if I can move it around..."
There was a sudden snap and the red eye piece broke off the mechanical part of the scouter.
"Darnit..." Annana said as she dropped it to the ground.
"What the hell have you done?!" Cried Nozark. "Now we won't be able to formulate a strategy!" He yelled as he picked up the two pieces and tried to re-attach them.
There was a sudden laugh that passed among the group.
"I don't think we needed that to begin with. Besides, why would we use any of the technology that the Tuffles have? They have always been our enemy." Kale explained. He was the largest among the group and stood an enormous seven feet off the ground. In addition to his great size, he was heavily built. He often spoke under his breath, and sometimes it was hard for the group to even hear what he was Saiyan.
"It doesn't matter. It was our only means of gaining the upper-hand. Without it, the Tuffles will be able to detect our location with their own scouters," He interjected as he squashed the broken scouter with his bare hands. He threw the particles on the ground and walked over to Kale. "We are under strict orders to succeed, and we're not able to return unless we do. The chances of us emerging victorious are now slim."
"Doubtful, I'm sure we will find a way to win," Replied Kale as he walked towards a tree. He put his hand on it and glanced in the direction of the city. "You said they suffered great losses at the hands of the Saiyans, correct?" He asked Nozark.
Nozark nodded.
"If that is true, their numbers should be significantly smaller than what they were before. The information our superiors collected is likely inaccurate -although that is not to say that we shouldn't be cautious." He explained assuringly.
He turned around and walked back to join the remainder of his group, whom were busy enjoying their final meal for the night. They had set up a fire a few hours ago and hunted down some animals within the surrounding area. Afterwards, Nozark sent out his scouts -and based upon whatever information they had collected, the attack would begin at night. Nozark shrugged off his uncertainties and decided to join his group. He was fully aware that this particular meal might be the last one that they would ever see.
"Why do we have to continue with this attack?" Annana asked as she chewed a mouthful of deer meat. "If what Kale says is true than we shouldn't need to kill all the remaining Tuffles. Why don't we spare their lives, use their technology to our advantage and perform a coup?"
Everybody dropped their meals after they heard her suggestion. After a few seconds of silence, Kale immediately burst out laughing.
"You're a fool Annana. It's not just our brethren that will hunt is down and kill us, but there is a rumor circulating of an even greater foe than the Saiyans and the Tuffles combined. Some say he's invincible." He interjected as he picked up his portion of the food.
"Rumors are rumors." Annana returned.
Nozark immediately jumped into the conversation when he heard Annana dismiss the existence of this powerful Lord. "No, it's true," He began. "Rumor has it that he wishes to hire the Saiyans to work for him. Once this final city has been conquered, than the Saiyans can reap the rewards of their technology. With their technological advances combined with our superior power, we will undoubtedly become the greatest fighting force in the universe; with the exclusion of whoever this Tyrant is." He explained angrily. Inside, he felt completely different about destroying the Tuffles, but if he were to take his squad away or rebel against his people, they would suffer death at the hands of their leaders of this force that rumor was circulating around.
Kale threw his deer bone aside and ripped off another leg from the dead animal. The sound of the meat tearing made Annana squirm.
"Besides rumors, what's the name of this powerful warrior?" He asked curiously as he took a bite.
"Rumors are rumors, but I've heard of the name Frieza being mentioned. He's not like the Saiyans, or anybody else that we've grown accustomed to fighting, he appears to be of a wholly different race with the ability to tap into unfathomable power."
"So after we kill the last of the Tuffles we're going to be enslaved by this guy?" Annana asked sarcastically as she nibbled on her portion of the deer. She never really liked the taste of it, but there wasn't anything else to eat.
Nozark nodded.
"Yea...no," She shot back. "We should figure something out."
Chay was rather quiet as her companions continued to discuss matters of factly, but it was now that she opened up and voiced her opinion. "Perhaps there is a way we can win." She said for the first time.
Everybody looked at her, this made her feel even more nervous.
"If one of us can't do it, what about all of us? What if we channel our energy into one being? Like a host?" She explained dubiously. She wasn't certain if it would actually work, but it was worth bringing up.
"Perhaps, but will it be powerful enough? Maybe we'll see what happens when the time comes," Nozark said agreeably as he finished his meal. He put down the bare bone and stood up. He took notice of Mangof and Amorak returning in the distance. "I definitely don't wish to see myself, or any of you, become enslaved by any tyrant. If such an event does happen after we conquer this city, then we'll worry about it then. For now, we at least have to make it appear as though we're still completely loyal to our superiors." He explained orderly.
Everybody nodded or grunted under his leadership, but nobody disagreed.
After finishing their meals, Nozark spoke a good deal with Amorak and Mangof, but nothing they had found out altered their battle plan. The group decided to rest until the full moon would rise and then they would begin their assault upon the unsuspecting Tuffles.
