Wow, X and Y are really beautiful games? Like, Kalos is a really gud looking region. Glittering Cave is a prime example.

Yeah. Pretty sure most people were blown away by the transition to 3d, particularly when Gen 5's graphics were a step down from Gen 4's. Lumiose City is probably my best example of such due to the scale of it. The ost also aids in capturing the feeling of this region, especially when the credits song was also used in a tribute to Iwata. RIP.

I haven't played Gen VI but I've seen bits of it and it does look REALLY good, the cities/towns and what not (Lumiose City especially) all look VERY nice. The anime region of Kalos is beautiful as well. Before Gen VI I would've chosen to live in Johto if I had to pick a region to live/come from but I'd rather live in Kalos now.

Yeah I think part of the reason there were so few Pokemon this gen was because they worked so hard on the graphics

They look up to par thus far, though the graphics don't seem to be a boost in quality compared to Gen 6, other than move animations.
