Anyone up for watching Digimon Adventure?

I'm kind-of in a Digimon mood lately and could also be a good way for people who haven't seen the series yet, to watch with us. But only if anyone is up for it.

I'm sure you'll like that on an 11th watch too. btw, how did you get the chance to watch so much? You mean the entire series 10 times?

Probably not the entire series, but most of the key portions (devimon, myotismon, etc. being defeated, some other key plot points)

since you didn't like digimon tamers, is this the favourite digimon series?

In terms of story Tamers > Adventure > 02 > Savers > Frontier (trash) ~ tri (never watched Xros wars)

In terms of enjoyment, I'd probably say I enjoyed Adventure the most (mainly due to nostalgia tho) followed by 02 and Tamers. Tbh I never even watched the entirety of Tamers like some of the other series, because the parts between them getting to the Digimon world and actually encountering a threat (Impmon's ultimate form or whatever) are boring as sin and should be nuked

Digimon Frontier was quite enjoyable from what I remember. Might not be as good as the previous ones, but for a child what's better than partnering with a Digimon? Becoming one, so they did that well. I also liked the LöweMon design.

From what I heard and am seeing Digimon Adventure Tri has been really disappointing. I watched like one very sad scene that seemed to be really good, but other than that forgettable it seems. I don't even know why they didn't bring the original creative-minds behind the series back. Like the writers and so-on. Sure, maybe they don't know how to write as well for near-adult characters like they could for children, but they could have at-least tried.

Tri is stinkingly awful, makes Super look like a faithful continuation. the 02 kids were excluded simply for being from a less-popular second season and they haven't explained why they're gone in 5 fucking movies (the 6th one is set to be the finale) so that says enough lol.

A couple months ago I actually started rewatching this, got to episode 4 and then I was bored with it

Yeah, I remembering seeing something wi them being defeated or something. Like their silhouettes, but they haven't been mentioned since besides saying they've disappeared or something, l0l.

Pocket-God, yeah if you watched the series before and remember that well, then maybe it's harder to watch. Especially the beginning since a-lot of it is everyone just getting their Digimons to digivolve.
